This short film takes place in a phased housing project where residents are not separated by walls but by dimensional levels.  So although Johcef and Phee technically share the same apartment, they each have a space to call their own, until the machine that separates them begins to break down.  Johcef’s apartment is a quite, cavelike refuge for him to escape from his problems.  By contrast, Phee’s apartment is a bright and airy space, suited to fit a long time city dweller. 

For this effect the same apartment and furnishings were used, but painted and altered throughout the course of shooting to reflect each distinct character.  Many of the props and decorative items were hand made to suit the desired look of this futuristic but familiar setting.
