The end is coming soon… to a theatre near you

Jules is the most useless person in the post apocalyptic world. The apocalypse has come and gone but his tiny home town of Potanka, deep in the desert, remains relatively unchanged, and its residents are simply getting on with life. Brain and braun have become the most essential tools for survival, but Jules can offer neither. Though he can eek out a living on the coattails of his friend Johnny's manual labor, and his sister Sheila's mathematical mind, he yearns for a life beyond simple survival. When a far flung salvage mission leads Jules to an old 35mm film camera, he finally determines his purpose; to make the greatest movie in the new world... the only movie in the new world.

Jules is, self declared, the most useless person in the post apocalyptic world, until he finds an old film camera and determines to make the greatest movie in the new world... the only movie in the new world. But when a beautiful young actress inadvertently leads a formidable stranger to his hidden hometown, Jules proves he can do far more than direct. #1apocalypsemoive number1movie@immmagination.com

It's not long before Jules's filmmaking skills are put to the test when D, a beautiful young actress, and her rebellious younger sister Izzy, make their way across the desert and straight into Jules's town. But D and Izzy aren't the only ones traversing the desert. A lone Survivalist surveys the empty landscape, looking for signs of life.

Jules immediately casts D as his lead before he even knows what his movie is about. Determined to make a perfect movie to prove his worth to the world, and to D, Jules seeks Johnny and Sheila's help. He soon finds himself with an oddball intellectual screenwriter named Mister Plato, and an evil villain played by Hammond, the town's muscle who's looking to break out of his mold. And though it's the last thing he wanted to do, Jules even smooths things over with his ex-girlfriend, Cece, who agrees to dress his stars to the nines.

Jules is, self declared, the most useless person in the post apocalyptic world, until he finds an old film camera and determines to make the greatest movie in the new world... the only movie in the new world. But his first day filming is proving to be much more difficult than he imagined. Who knew that making a movie after the end of the world would be so hard? #1apocalypsemovie number1movie@immmagination.com

Jules manages the ragtag cast and crew, as they work together to create a classic film amongst the ruins of their former world. But while they film scenes of romance and triumph, the Survivalist follows each trace they leave behind, and is soon hot on the film crew's trail. Just as Jules is beginning to hit his stride as a director, the film crew has their first encounter with the Survivalist, a foreboding man who leaves a lot of mystery in his wake.

Once back in the safety of their town, D and Izzy reveal the truth about the world outside Potanka; militants are starting to take over the newly ungoverned society, and the Survivalist is one of them. Though they believe that Potanka will remain safe, and determine to go on with making their film, the next encounter proves them wrong. With the safety and survival of his friends, family and his entire town at stake, Jules soon proves he can do far more than just direct.
